Regular dances are held at the PPAA, 618 SE Alder Street (6th and Alder across from the Melody Ballroom) on the third Friday of every month, September through May. No one under 13 is admitted.

ABOUT	From the Portland Céilí Society press release: “With a repertoire that includes more than 3,000 Irish traditional tunes, 500 of which he recorded and annotated through a grant he received in 1994 from the National Endowment for the Arts resulting in the famous “The Paddy O’Brien Tune Collection: A Personal Treasury of Irish Jigs and Reels,” Paddy is famous for his scholarship.  He is also a fine composer in his own right.  But if you have the chance to listen to him in person even once, you will find yourself touched by “The Draiocht,” the hearts and souls of those who came before him, their passion still coursing into the present through the buttons on Paddy’s accordion. A Portland favorite, Nancy Conescu, the lovely Irish traditional singer and guitarist will be accompanying Paddy on this special evening.” - N Jarrell
